Not Convinced That Selling Books Online Can Make Money? Read This

Some good news to start the week...

Checking my emails this morning I noticed a great one from Shortcut readers Paul and Lulu that I’d like to share with you...

"...I now have about 80 books on Amazon, but the ones I want to tell you about are really cool!

"I bought a copy of ‘Command Fitness in 4 Weeks’ for 25p and was GIVEN a Tales of Narnia 7 book collection in mint condition.

"Firstly, the Commando book sold to a sailor based in Somerset for £9.85.

"Next day the Narnia book set sold at £90.00!

"Altogether this week I received almost £115.00 in my account.

"Cool part time hobby or what?"

What a score, right?

And after being given the Narnia books for free!

That’s why I like second-hand bookselling as a money-maker.

Most people just don’t get it.

In fact, there are three camps of thinking with this...

Which camp do you fall into?

First off, you’ve got camp A...

You don’t think second-hand bookselling can make any money.

To you I say, quite simply: yes it can.

Paul and Lulu have proved that above...

Not to mention the extra cash I’ve pocketed from this myself.

And just this weekend a good friend of mine who started doing it told me how he’d pocketed enough to treat his girlfriend to a posh meal at one of their favourite London restaurants.

As I said on Saturday, if you stick with something like this then you will make money. So, that’s camp A: the non-believers.

If that is you, then stop being so negative and give it a go.

And even if you don’t give it a go, just stop being so negative!

Of course, you could be in camp B...

I hope you’re not though, because I think this is worse than camp A.

You see, you realise it could make you some extra cash but you can’t be bothered to do it.

Well, if this is the case...

Come on.

It’s not a lot of work.

Other than getting hold of some books and sparing a couple of hours one afternoon to put them online, the only thing you have to do is post the book whenever you sell one.

It certainly isn’t difficult.

Let’s move on though, as I’m hoping you’re not in camp B.

Not being bothered is no way to improve anything.

Anyway, as a Shortcut reader, I’m hoping you’re in camp C...

You realise that because so many people fall into camps A and B that opens even more opportunity up to you.

You’re thinking of your neighbours who have a garage full of books they want to throw out.

You’re thinking of your parents who have a load of old books in the attic that you could you pick up for free.

You’re thinking of your own shelves, you’re thinking of all the cheap books you see at car boot sales, you’re thinking of all the books you’ve seen in the shops of your local charity shops.

Exactly.

You’re thinking there could be something in this.

Well, you know where I stand...

I’ve made money doing this, my friends have made money doing this and readers have made money doing this.

So, why not kick off this week by trying something new and giving this a go.
