Paul’s got it spot on...He emailed in to tell me how he was getting on with his bookselling after I’d suggested it in Shortcut.
My intention with this opportunity was to give you a very simple and low cost way to make an extra £20, £30 or £40 here and there...
To pocket you a bit of ‘comfort income’ - that spare cash you can spend without worrying too much about.
So, it was a pleasure to hear Paul’s taken this on perfectly and is picking up an extra £20-£30 a week already...
"Hi Glenn,
"Just to let you know I have already started with a small plan. Selling books on Amazon as suggested.
"I am selling one, two sometimes three books per week. Not making a fortune, but an extra £20-£30 per week.
"It’s a start and can only go upwards!
"I do specialise in one area and can therefore get some good selling prices and mark ups. I have bought books for 35p/50p/75p each and sold for £5/£7.75/£14.95!
"I buy from charity shops, jumble sales, table top sales and car boots.
"Thanks for all your tips in Shortcut. Here’s to a successful 2010.
"Regards, Paul"
Paul’s not the only reader already in on the action - I’ve already heard from a ton of people who have been selling books online.
Gordon, for one, wrote in to tell me he’d been doing this a while and found it to be a very effective way of generating extra cash...
"I have currently sold 23 of the 45 books and made a profit on the whole purchase from selling just one item from the total of 45 that I bought. How many businesses can make that claim?
"So yes, I can heartily recommend this as a business to get into if you want to make a few extra quid." - Gordon
So, what’s stopping you from using this to make some extra cash?
Truth is: nothing.
